Phil Borges is a photographer and documentary filmmaker, whose photographic work leads to social initiatives.
For more than twenty-five years, Phil Borges has documented indigenous and tribal cultures, striving to describe the social challenges they face. His work has been presented in numerous museums and galleries across the world. His books have been published in several languages, including: Tibetan Portrait: the power of compassion (1996), Enduring Spirits (1998), Enduring Spirits (1998), Women Empowerment, Inspiring changes in an emerging world (2007), Tibet, Culture on the Edge (2011).
A man of action, he co-founded the organization Blue Earth Alliance, a Non Profit Foundation promoting photography projects describing cultures in danger and threatened environments.
